On a serious note, we’re 8 days away from our Crowdfunding Launch Party. Each of our projects have been thriving while building their crowd.
Let’s take a look at where they’ve reached so far. They’ve all had a busy week. 💪
I. BLADES OF GLORY 🚣♂️
The crowdfunding team have been trying to rope in corporate sponsors and updating their social media. They have been roaming the High Street of Guildford drumming up interest for the campaign with the main interest coming from Maverick Barbers. The boat club even had an event in Newcastle and they acquired new supporters, reaching a total of 182.

II. MUKONO 🌲
Mukono is exploring a new target audience through Instagram.
They are going to Guildford County School this Friday and are setting up a booth on the High Street this Sunday. Their crowd is growing and reached 130 supporters.

III. GUILDFORD LIBRARY OF THINGS – BORROW IT📗
On 4th of March, the team went to Guildford Library to promote and handout posters of the launch party which the Library of Things will be participating in. The student team was also able to get a corporate sponsor from Neil Wishart, who is the CEO of Solus Company while promoting this event. Note that they reached 155 supporters.

IV. CHERRY TREES 🧒
Currently at 51 supporters, they made their 2nd visit to Cherry Trees to film videos. Their first confirmed corporate sponsor is Sicool Foods, a local Italian Café, in Guildford Town Centre. Sicool bring traditional authentic Sicilian food into the UK.
V. SIGHT FOR SURREY – JOY BEYOND SIGHTS 😊
On February 27th, student team visited Sight for Surrey and learned a lot more about the charity from wonderful staffs. The visit inspired them to push forward this project even harder in helping children with visual impairment. Their number of supporters has more than doubled and reached 124.

VI. CHALLENGERS – BIGGER. BETTER. SUMMER 😊
On February 28th, the team visited Challengers’ Guildford Centre and had a truly amazing experience. The team was able to learn more about the charity through different facilities provided by the Challengers and got the chance to meet with the lovely kids there. Challengers has currently 150 supporters.

VII. WOOD STREET INFANT SCHOOL – LIFE IS BEING OUTDOORS ⛱️
So far, the team has visited the school and been able to understand the purpose of their crowdfunding campaign. They are regularly posting their activities on Facebook and Instagram. Not to forget that they reached 126 supporters.
