Challengers needs your support to bring disabled young people in Guildford and their families a BIGGER & BETTER SUMMER!
WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of MSc students from the University of Surrey working in conjunction with Challengers and are hoping to bring our local disabled young people some fun and unforgettable experiences this summer!
WHO IS CHALLENGERS?
Challengers is a local charity that provides play, activities and a fun place to go for disabled children and young people aged 2-25. They currently support over 1,400 disabled young people through Preschool, Play, Youth and Young Adult schemes that run across the southeast. Their Guildford Youth Scheme supports over 70 local disabled young people and their families and makes such a huge difference to their lives.
To raise fund to support Challengers’ Guildford Youth Scheme 2020 and provide inclusive activities (e.g. accessible cycling, art & craft days, a trip to Birdworld or a splash at the local pool) for local disabled young people aged 13-18
HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Many disabled young people will have nowhere else to go other than Challengers during the summer holidays. With your donations and support, these young people are able to be themselves, form friendships and try new activities, which is amazing! Their parents will also get vital respite by getting a break and the opportunity to do things they would not usually have time to do during the summer.
CAMPAIGN TARGET: £2250
